Get to Know Me

Jon Mould

I began racing at 14, taking to the local Newport Velodrome like a duck to water. I progressed quickly loving every minute of racing and riding my bike, whether it was; Track, Road or MTB. I have always been competitive and that drive and determination resulted in a European Title and National Championships at a Junior level, progressing on to the Great Britain Under 23 Academy from the age of 18-21.

Over 8 years with professional road teams followed, including Team JLT Condor, Madison Genesis, An-Post Chainreaction, NFTO and more. In conjunction with racing on the road I raced Track throughout the winter, winning three World Cup medals.

My racing career allowed me to race and win throughout the world, I became the most successful rider in Tour Series history, winning the most individual rounds. I’ve represented Wales at three Commonwealth Games, winning a silver medal on the Gold Coast in 2018.

The knowledge of how racing works, training and preparing for events is something I’d love to share. I always work better when setting myself a goal, as with any athlete, the aim on the horizon motivates me. It allows you to concentrate and deal with the tough days and revel in your successes, either winning a race or improving a personal best.
